Our electric car
Not necessarily a panacea to our tranport problems, but electric cars are far more efficient than the infernal combustion engine that has dominated motoring for years. Electric cars are ideal for urban use and short commutes. Beyond that we should probably be on a train or bus anyhow! Certainly many households with two cars could make one of them an electric car with very little sacrifice, and charging cars off peak at night helps to manage increased input of wind energy on the grid.

Living a low energy lifestyle doesn’t have to involve hardship - unless you leave the transition too late of course!
